Saddam City: Novel exposes our silence! by Abdel-Fattah Sabri

” Saddam City” is novel which carry you to from your normal world, a world of innocence and negligence, and also the world who covers with small berry leafs to another world who hide beyond the high walls.

This hidden world been disclose with high-tension narrative of the novel takes you quickly and extensively to highlight the space between the influence of the place and sacredness in the absence of time-framed, it is the lack of a sense of who he adapts another angle in the place in which rising from the kinds of oppression and suffering highlights a sense of alienation forced on the country whatever the rights to this comment home and soil, land and took places, the greater the commitment to increased alienation in the depths of remote locations.

That is why the novel has insist to expose this strange equation, love your country equal the right to confiscate all the dream, reality, talking, and sometimes life, but who has the right of confiscation, right of torture and right of oppression? It is the regime, the Authority, which inhabited by the horror and fear of everything. From another angle the novel expose our silence in the face of this violence which it been install against patriotism, and loving nation which been associated with human beings through Significances and Trends:

First: ( the location) : the violence and oppression and torture. “Why do not you question me here?

 Oppressed one  always looking for the opposite of the situation, even in the imagination or memories, he goes away from the place where the exercise and the oppression and humiliation.

This diversity of places is subject to any indication of the protagonist, who will face oppressions on those places, urging him to seek the suppression of the association during the inside monologue  or remembering past moment of tranquillity, happiness, and l loved event, or vivid places.

This alienation of the human person as a human being may be a special case to tell the narrator retailer, but the realities of the circular referred to the reader to find the same recipient in the body of work, and this is due to default on the one hand and lack of awareness of the importance of individual freedom and pride, on the other. The oppression and alienation experienced by the individual in the areas of daily life because of the authoritarian control on the personal life. Hence the importance of this novel shows the extent of the suffering of a man if he exercised his right to speak, understanding and awareness.

This novel, “Saddan City,” assures us in its pages, the protagonist said every thing in logic  to belief him totally, the novel Succeeded to depict the true life in prison, in a significant way, full of credibility of the Matn views about the narrative and apply it through the style of tension to the technical plot a smooth transition from one city to another and from one cellar to another and from one place to another, both are already listed in the workplace or through monologue and breakdown of the dialogue and scenarios ,

which resorted to the protagonist as a his ambition looking for salvation.

the novel based on the vision of thought based on oppression and alienation, what the human being concern is his rights, freedom and his independent departure in paths of life without obstacles or limitations, but because the system belt of modern life and its institutions and traditions have made their rights curbed the mechanism of these institutions, but the more important question is at which the depth of the novel is the freedom to believe and embrace the principles and values, such as character and to identify its components.

The story moved and discussed in depth on the oppression of the individual and the collective exercise of rights and humiliate shown in an attempt to expose these practices silliness horrendous “and said I was crazy about me, I saw there, they injection syringes per day and then took his health gets worse, etc. … What they give?! God knows best. Etc… p. 76. “After a few seconds started the voices of distress

The situation of oppression and alienation that has become an institution in our culture has become so human suffering from marginalization and vulnerability, sometimes in an attempt to squat and the prevention of reclusive evils of this situation back to the roots of the first Arab figure, which has suffered from the social control exerted, and the prevailing condition is aligned to these controls long and numerous and varied forms, even after the growth of communities and a breakdown of the traditional and institutional involvement in the community, but they are still applicable in the spirit of authoritarian laws and formulas constraining the freedom of the individual, which was forced to silence and a sense of both fragile “I am a peaceful manI can’t intimidated  a cat, “my neighbour was very good man, my neighbour no more, no less. no visits, no meetings. He was polite quiet tall thin .. etc..”

The narrator is the protagonist, which had held the point of view of the act through successive vision of what is around him, whether imposed by the dialogues or been created sometimes through the procedure, or through the inside monologue to give  the novel a power to link between characters and there times but the words came from the scenes stories and stories heard or made through the figures repeated by different nomenclature places frequented by personal narrating key, which revolved around the novel and these characters exist behind the blinds and the cover of the cellars, but never far from our intention non-self are, in fact, lived in life as it is already in the narrative is taken from our streets and homes, technology retailer narrator is consistent with these accounts, such as normative, but note that sometimes the narrator’s knowledge of what is the role of the incidents which may affect the quality and independence of personal narrating work on the novelist.

The New York Public Libraries listed my novel as one of the best novels of the last century. Amnesty international chose 37 writers from all over the world, including me, to celebrate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
